Optimized Control for Transient Stability Analysis – Optimal Mitigation Measures – Transient Stability (OPMTS)
Operating the power system under stressed conditions, as well as the interconnection of additional generation (especially intermittent generation), have caused the system to be operated closer to its limits. The task of preserving transient stability of the system is increasingly becoming more important.
OPMTS automatically computes remedial actions to increase critical clearing time. Control actions available in OPMTS are: generator tripping, load shedding and intentional islanding.
